The Kitchen Club is fully equipped with passionate people who care a great deal about integrating cooking and nutrition into education! We pride ourselves in creating fun lessons for children, teaching about food provenance, dealing with the dangerous bits (yes the knives and heat!), working with small groups and providing all the equipment, ingredients and Kitchen Club Teachers to deliver it, we even do the washing up... A one-stop solution.
Meliny Tim is a trained nutritionist who wants everyone to be food savvy and love REAL food! Meliny grew up on a vegetable farm in South Africa and believes we should know where our food comes from and how to utilise all its health benefits. She is passionate that children should develop a healthy relationship with food from an early age and learn to cook real food to eat well for life.
Anna has a background in teaching, cooking and baking~ a perfect combination for The Kitchen Club! Anna can be found leading some of our After School Cooking Clubs, assisting with Whole School Cooking Days and at our holiday workshops. She has experience as a professional baker and caterer. Anna brings a wealth of cooking knowledge to her lessons and when she's not cooking with us, she's usually in her own kitchen baking something delicious!
Meike is a qualified biology teacher with a passion for cooking and food science. She loves to help children discover flavours and ingredients from all over the world, whilst making sure that they also learn basic cooking skills using great British produce. As a mother of two girls herself, she likes to encourage children to experiment in a safe environment and to inspire a lifelong love for cooking.
Holly is a College Student as well as a food fanatic who has a passion for eating well and working out. In school her favourite subject is Food and Nutrition. In the future she would like to become a personal trainer and study to become a Dietician! Her hobbies include training hard in the gym and maintaining her social media platforms on Instagram and YouTube!! She loves working with the Kitchen club because she gets to see children light up and burst with imagination when cooking with us!
Tegen is currently at Uni studying Childcare and Nursing. She loves helping at our Holiday Workshops and cooking with our young chefs! Her hobbies include dog walking and babysitting which she really enjoys, as well as cooking delicious foods with her mum and baking different desserts. Tegen feels it is important for children to learn about the food they eat and explore new recipes so they are able to take what they have learnt and use it for the future.
